Stream Helper is one hell of an impressive tool.

What I particularly like about it compared with the other bookmarklets that scan for jobs, boosts etc. is that it collects the relevant data nearly instantaneously and in parallel, rather than sequentially for each mafia member. You can then open up the results for a given category (jobs, wars etc.) and quickly click on as many as you want, as an alternative to the timed but automated link-checking function. For someone with a large mafia this could be a real boon, especially when used alongside the capability of searching for a particular rank of job (e.g. pakhan-level jobs versus all Moscow jobs).

One thing you may need to do first to permit the bookmarklet to work is to enable your Facebook wall’s Mafia Wars feed. (At the bottom of the Facebook wall, click on: Edit Options > Applications > Mafia Wars > Add to News Feed > Close.)

If you use your FB account for other things besides playing Mafia Wars, this could be a bit of a nuisance compared with using Job Helper, which does not depend on having the MW news feed enabled to operate. However, you can easily switch the MW feed off again after each occasion that you run the Stream Helper tool.

i run like its written up and than when i open bookmarklet it shows tick box and it goes in white screen. whyt should i do

I have been using Stream Helper since the first day. As you know , I only use Beta bookmarklets (or experimental ones, including the Alpha Remove Non Friends)

Hi, i´ve tried your Stream Helper and it´s not working I´ve tried to increase the loadtimer i´ve tried to only tick 1 thing and still it wont work. It does not go past Status: Requesting data… it gets stuck at that page… I´ve got 1000+ mafia so this Bookmarklet is exactly what i need so if anyone knows what i might be doing wrong or if anyone has any ideas why it´s not working please contact me on my E-mail or on facebook. You should make the “Hours to load” option to handle less amount of time, such as minutes. Wars end and stash loots deplete in seconds, not hours!!

I have used in the past several of the marklets, however with streamhelper, no matter what I do I continuously get “Add more categories or increase time to find links.” I have doubled the default time and the look back time from 1 to 4 to 8 to 10 t0 12 hrs back still with no success. I am running out of things to try. Please advice.

Neither booklet has worked for me at all. Deleted the booklets and added them again and still nothing.

I have tried using the Stream Helper, but when I try to ask for permission, the pop up appears then disappears within a second. How do I fix this?

I m trying to use streamhelper beta, however I can’t get it to work whatsoever. Tried logging in and out. It continually tells me I have to log into facebook even after clicking ok a dozen times. I receive the following messages,”You must be logged in to Facebook to use this feature and Status: No matching links were found, increase time or add more categories.
Also make sure you have asked for permission on this account. Can someone explain what I am doing wrong?

when I ask ask for permission again, I get a quick pop-up box it pops up then its gone. thats when it reads ( No matching links were found, increase time or add more categories.) I’ve tried everything can you please help me.

P.S. I am using firefox but I have tried chrome with similar results.

I’ve just installed SH and it’s not working – I’ll try again at home, but here at work it doesn’t seem to work at all – I’ve tried with permissions and all options enabled (hours to load 24, post/request at 10k) – and it doesn’t seem to work (I see all the time inscription: “Found 0 interesting wall posts.

Does it mean I’m not lucky and I cannot use it?

The Stream Helper is beeing stopped, when the bonus of the Holiday jobs appear.

I was able to get this to work 1 time now every time i click scan all i get is “Status: Requesting data…”

I have tried changing all the settings and none seem to work. Is this bookmarklet still working?

I couldn’t get past the “You must be logged in to Facebook to use this feature.” prompt until I enabled “Accept third-party cookies” under Tools, Options, Privacy (Firefox 3.6). After that I was able to authorize the script and it ran flawlessly.

does this tools restarts and does all things automatically??

Just have to say that I’ve been using this for a few days now and it is truly awesome!

When I get up in the morning, I can leave it to run and catch up on all the stashes, jobs, boosts etc from the overnight hours.

It is also a great help in finding wars to help in – one more achievement under my belt!

First, thanks for a great tool!
When the status on Stream Helper starts it always starts looking 20-40 minutes before the current time. Is their a way to start it on the current time or a little closer such as 5 minutes, because it seems that all the good loot and jobs have been done by the time I get to them using stream helper.

I am just learning the Stream helper. It was working good – but I was getting alarmed when I watched each transaction and saw that it was giving away my building materials!! They are hard to come by, especially the new Weapon shop materials. Why is it giving them away? Or am I reading it wrong (I hope!).

i loved the tools…was using it since a few days…from yesterday i guess the streamhelper beta has been giving some problems…it wont show posts of more than a hour…today of only a few minutes…

The stream helper is not working due, I think, because of those “Show X similar Posts” recently added by FB.

I have been using stream helper for weeks without issue, now I’m noticing when I scan for jobs, achievements etc… I receive this “NAN Post” message not sure what that is. I’ve also tried removing the bookmark and reapplying it and asking for permissions again, this doesn’t seem to help it!!

Hey thanks for getting the site running yesterday went in to it today to run the stream helper and i keep getting this message. i tried several things increasing and deacreasing the time amount of check marks but still got the message.

Had no problems with Stream Helper, but since it came back a few days ago, whenever I try to access, I get this…Found 0 interesting wall posts.

No matter how long I haven’t run Stream Helper I have NEVER found more than 199 interesting posts. I can typically get about 180 over an hour to 2. If I am gone for 5-15 hours, I will still only get under 200. Usually not 199. It doesn’t matter how high I put “Posts / request:” . I can put 300 or 10K. I still never hit even 200 interesting posts. What am I doing wrong, or wont Stream Helper go higher than 199 interesting posts.

I am using Windows 7, Chrome. The only tabs I do not check are ask for permission, and wars. I sometimes click on “Do newest jobs first, instead of oldest?”, and sometimes I don’t.

I find that sometimes opening a new tab, and using that tab the no interesting posts goes away.

HOW DOES WARS WORK _ mainly want to make sure it doesnt make me betray my friends – I ant o fight on the side of my frieds only…??

I would LOVE to get this working!! I’ve followed all the directions, have deleted cookies and caches, reloaded, tried both the old and the Beta versions, and get nothing. The errors are as stated above by many others….

Seems Zynga broke the steam again…Now we have to agree to accept the bonus and then get the bonus…I get nothing out of running the stream as it stops on “Loading the real url in… 0 seconds…”

I’ve > 5,500 mafia family members. And it just turn out 1 Hot Coffee. I’ve followed all the instructions stated. I’ve uninstalled FF Filter. Also, it runs only after I turn my “web protection shield” off. Is there any clue for this?

Is Stream Helper (Beta) not working again? I get 0 links, tried many different configurations…nothing, tried the old Stream Helper as well, no links…..

What does the “(Sent)” note mean next to most of the Weapon Shop items collected? The stats say something like 18 Arc Welders collected, but I do not get 18 of them in my Weapon Shop. Do I send them as a gift to someone without knowing?
